Driving to SoCal - Day 13

NOTE: It seems as if we are falling behind with the blog, but the truth is we have written an entry for every day (currently in draft form, hidden from view).  The pictures take forever to upload especially if we are at a hotel.  In the mean time just keep checking back, I may post them without pictures until we are somewhere more secure. Thanks!

Today, we left Kim and Lisa's in Novato around 6 am. Lisa spoiled us with some fresh local fruit and a tomato sandwich for Paul. She's a true Italian woman who loves to cook good food and offer it to friends and family. We are spoiled and sad to go!

There was major construction going on around the Golden Gate Bridge, so we got an early start on purpose and used the Bay Bridge instead.  It was damaged during the earthquake of 1989.  The top level fell down to the bottom level.

We drove until about 4:30, only stopping for gas, rest areas, and Vista Point, which had a great view of the Pacific coast.

When we got to Vista, California, The Perez's took us to the restaurant called LTH.

Kim had an amazing French Dip sandwich and Paul had a chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic. We also tried some local craft beers, one of Ozzie and Tifani's passions.

After dinner, we walked on the pier to catch the sunset. We watched the sun set over the Pacific Ocean!

...What are we looking at?

Then this happened.  Yep.

We were pretty exhausted after a day of travel and slept well!
